If a student is enrolled in a class that does not meet their skill level, they will be moved to a class that is appropriate to the students current skill level.
Class Descriptions
Gymnastics: beginner: 1st-5th gd. 50 Minutes. Conditioning, stretching, basic tumbling skills, front, back, and straddle rolls, cartswheels, stunts and trick aerobatics may be introduced. Proper technique stressed. Students may take this class up to 3 years. Home practice and conditioning is highly encouraged to accelerate skill mastery in any class. No recital for summer session. Must have 8 students enrolled.
Gymnastics: Intermediate: 1st-5th grade. 50 minutes. Conditioning, stretching, and basic tumbling skills. Students may take this class up to 2 years. These students are not beginners but have not acquired the skills to be considered advanced. Must have mastered front rolls and cartwheels with correct technique. Home practice and conditioning is highly encouraged to accelerate skill mastery in any class. No recital for summer session. Must have 8 students enrolled.
Gymnastics : Advanced: ability based. Students must have mastered a front roll, back kick over or back walkover, hold handstand with spotter, and running roundoff with correct punch (rebound) to advance to this level. Will work on stretching and proper conditioning, backovers, standing back handsprings, and running round-off back handsprings. Home practice and conditioning is highly encouraged to accelerate skill mastery in any class. No recital for summer session. Must have 8 students enrolled.
KinderGym ages 4,5,6: 30 minutes. Introduction to basic tumbling skills: front and back rolls, bridges, angel touches, handstand kickups, beginner cartwheels, low balance beam, use small hand manipulative's. Simple stunts may be introduced. Home practice and conditioning is highly encouraged to accelerated skill mastery in any class. No recital for summer session. Must have 8 students enrolled.
